Storm at the Bill
In strong winds and heavy water, the waves crash against the rock forming great water plumes.
Golden Samphire at Portland Bill
The flowers vary all year at the Bill: sea pinks, red valerian and, here, golden samphire.
Portland Bill Lighthouses
The three lighthouses at Portland Bill are in different places in relation to one another depending on where you stand. I would have had to be in a boat to view them from this angle, so I used my imagination. The original of this was put on “The Giant Wall” – an officially recognised Inspire Project organised by myself and fellow artist Olivia Nurrish with the help of Artwey for the 2012 Olympic Games

Castles & Ruins, Church Ope Cove
This was sketched from photographs kindly taken by a fisherman from the sea at my request . It includes both Pennsylvania Castle and Rufus Castle - and the beach huts at Church Ope cove, and can be found about 20 minute's walk from my house.

The Other Side of the Harbour
Weymouth Harbour looks lovely from all sides and in all lights. It’s not surprising I keep coming back to this subject matter, this time observing and photographing from a pub on the opposite side of the water.

Coastguard Cottages
Coastguard Cottages is inspired by the Portland Bird Observatory and some of the cottages and beach huts around it. We have many poppies around us on Portland growing wild bringing vibrant splashes of colour across the landscape.
