With my back to the sea and Portland Bill, I climbed up the hill towards the Old Higher Lighthouse. Halfway up I stopped and found that lying in the grass and knapweed I had a great view of Portland Bill lighthouse minus the car park, so that was my first viewpoint chosen and sketched. This is the working lighthouse.
