Exhibiting at the New Wave Gallery Swanage
Tomorrow will be my last day stewarding in this interesting gallery. Neil and I have enjoyed our excursions there, meeting and chatting to the customers. You cannot beat having direct feedback from the public and it’s great to get lots of positive comments.
Taking part in the Art Day at Portland Marina 19th August
Lots of artists arrived on the day setting out stalls and fun art activities for children to enjoy. The sun stayed out and we managed to avoid the worst of the wind. It’s always fun working with Neil and Olivia, we even tried our hand at a little face painting. The three of us donated £30 from our earnings to the charity being supported, Surfers against Sewage, such a good cause.
Preparing for The Dorset Show 7th and 8th September
I have been invited to display and sell my work in the Artisans’ Tent at the Dorset County Show.
I have been busy sewing up cushions in preparation for this event and am really pleased with how they look. Cushions retail at £40 each.
Neil and I set our outside table with some of the new placemats and coasters that I ordered from Wowz Designs. They look fab and will be available to view and buy at the Dorset County show too. The (9 inches x 9 inches) mats start at £8.50 each with some savings with multiple purchases. Both items can be purchased via my web site.
At the last minute I decided to order some 2020 calendars; whether they will arrive in time for the show I don’t know – but I have chosen all Dorset scenes from the best of my designs. When they arrive, I will put them on my web site, available to order.
Working on my Current Textile Picture
Yes, I am still sewing too but the new work is a commissioned gift and I cannot reveal it until after Christmas!
