So busy this week. We are constructing a beach hut (in our garden) to replace the one that blew over in March. We have ordered some corrugated iron for the back and roof and some timbers for decking and supports and are using the old doors of the former beach hut and double-glazed windows sourced (with permission) from a skip. We are just planning as we go.
In between holding, lifting, carrying and criticising I am working on a new textile around Dorset poppy fields. In the rush my studio is getting into such a mess.
Meanwhile my Scilly Isles commission is on its way to its new home and the West Bay commission is waiting to be framed.
This weekend I also dropped off 3 pictures at the Athay Gallery on Portland. This is a new gallery starting up on Saturday 28th July above The Mess Deck in Portland Marina. Go and have a look.
I have also arranged to exhibit at a gallery, Purbeck New Wave Gallery, in Swanage next summer.
Today, as a break from construction, I am being interviewed for an article in a national magazine …. all very exciting!
