Spending 2 weeks in the Scilly Isles. A special term time treat to celebrate Neil’s retirement from teaching. I spent a long time with my sketchbook and paints. Trying to fast draw boats that inexplicably kept turning in the tide. So much inspiration for new textile pictures. Cannot wait to get started, but need to line them up behind my Copenhagen picture. I took the half-finished textile with me to do on rainy days (I full and 2 half days).
After a very short plane ride to Lands End (with Bill Oddie), we collected my unsold work (sold a few prints and cards) from the ABNA Exhibition in St Ives and took it to the Seagrove Gallery for Sandra to display there. So, originals St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Porthleven, View from the High Road from St Ives and Flowers in the Window are currently on display there alongside tiles cushions and coasters and a fresh input of cards and prints.
